You mean via bank? I thought it is possible in general though to transfer via western union from Thailand to literally any location via cash.

Why do many Thai people prefer to have lighter skin?

I’ve heard some king in the 20th century actually instructed Thais and especially women to dress more modern so as though they don’t appear to be “backwards/as savages”. That king also watched western movies, spoke English etc and afaik he did that to avoid getting invaded by certain Western democracy loving nations.
