Hello,

I’ll be back in Thailand soon (on visa exemption on arrival) and I’d like to finally get the Thai Elite 5 year visa.

Can anyone recommend a reputable agent or whatever you call them for this?

Thailandelite.net seems legit but it’s a bit confusing that the Thai gov wouldn’t sell this visa themselves.

In addition, is it possible to apply & obtain the elite visa while I am on my visa exemption?

They increased the price of elite visa due to people needing a visa and a lack of options for forginers. I would of thought drop the price and keep forginers in Thailand for revenue not encourage them to leave

Be aware the application process can take a few months, so I suggest starting the process before arriving if your planning to arrive on an exception.

Also, they only issue the visa in-country at chaengwattana which is a pita if you’re not in bangkok.

good luck because we had TE previous 10 yrs when we renewed we were given an exceptionally deal you couldn’t refuse but it’s only for those with existing visa

we have had for 10 years and just renewed for further 10 years and i have lots of friends joining it’s obviously not for everyone as is considered expensive but takes a lot of hassle out of living here

I'm curios. May I ask why you didn't consider Permanent Residence? I took a look at it and it seems too time and money consuming. Is it the same reason?

when we looked it was just far too difficult and TE is just about making the payment obviously it’s not for everyone as can be considered expensive but if you can afford it’s the easiest and best solution
