hmm, why he had two passport from same country at the same time valid? if he made new passport after damage the old one then keep both passport and he should be fine....
well i would understand your frustration if the application process do NOT give you chance to confirm/edit the data it scan from your passport page, but it DOES give you an option before you submit the application, computer can make mistake and thats why they allow to confirm before submit, now do it again and make sure the data is correct before submit....if you have read this forum then you know people are making the same mistake and learning hard way......rule is never trust anyone or anything but yourself.....
why take a chance and come back same day, i never heard anyone been denied just because they come back the same day but dont be the first one to say it happen to you... take couple of week holiday at least and show that you are using DTV as its design for....i am the one who always think taking unnecessary risk is useless if you can avoid....
check the embassy website it shows the amount they want you to manage, from washington embassy of thailand "A copy of a recent saving or checking bank statement for the last three months with an ending balance of no less than 500,000 THB or ($16,000 USD) "..........so wherever you are applying from check there website....but i would say USD
so you applied for Muay Thai which is not many year course or training but you wanted to abuse the Thailand DTV to stay for 5 years and calling them scammers? next thing you will complain that why they didnt have red carpet for you at the airport
