@Chan *****
yes, as long as where you stay will -

This is what I do myself and for other ppl

I ask the hotel to write a letter to state I am residing at the hotel

They put my name, date of birth, my country of origin, passport number, arrival date at hotel.

They supply a copy of their id card, & copy of house registration papers

I take this letter, my passport, & copies of both, 2 passport photos $500 baht (per certificate of residence)

Inform immigration what you require the certificate of residence for -

Bank accounts

Driving licence

For $500 baht they issue you a certificate of residence (letter)

In Thai writing, it states what it is for (bank account or Thai driver licence) & is valid for 30 days

I did this for my partner, she is from Laos on a tourist visa, best bank to open is Bangkok bank, although they will ask you to buy a bank product, accident insurance for 12 months

Can you withdraw cash ??

If so take the cash to the bank and deposit it, this is if the owner doesn’t take cash, as some places require bank deposit or QR payment

I see ppl have issues at DMK airport

A friend of mine worked FIFO , month on month off, so every second month he flew into DMK & was always hassled

Suvarnabhumi & CM seem to be easier from what ppl have posted over time

As usual though it can depend on the IO.

Before Covid I entered on visa exemption, went to Laos for 10 days, on re-entry to TL I was asked where was my visa, I explained I was on the first of two land crossings & after a few minutes of her looking frustrated, she stamped me in & said next time to get a visa 🤔

technically it’s a thought, however try moving your house from her land 🤣🤣🤣

And yes I know it’s the land rule, that’s why foreigners can buy condos as long as they are designated to be foreign owned
