@Bruce ********
you clearly can’t give him any advice, but Hee is not the first one who brought a girl to the uS and got dumped

The agency can only help you to apply. Officer at the Italian Embassy will be the one making decision. Their job is on the line if too many girls don’t come back, and they are regularly reviewed so they must make sure all documents are in order and all boxes are ticked on her file before they process her visa. Maybe she can try getting a job?

I don’t think it was right but I had to make a choice between bad and very bad. If you think you can change Thai’s government structure - go ahead and try. Otherwise, it’s best to stay in your own country with democratic government (I presume)- I have no idea what they are as I think most EU countries, US, Canada, Australia and NZ all had lockdowns, vaxx certs etc - and they also allowed doctors to refuse seeing patients “with symptoms”, something that most Asian countries didn’t do

I live in Singapore so no other options was available for us for a very long time - either get vaccine or don’t travel or even enter supermarket. I believe it’s similar in China so it’s up to Thai government who they value more for business

@Gary ********
well, as someone who did get vaccinated mainly for the purpose of travelling, I don’t really want to spend more $$$ on those tests.

She should contact Thai embassy and try to get a new passport or some sort of permission to travel back to Thailand

the difference is - stamp is NOT required by Canadian authorities. Here TC clearly says airlines told them it should be stamped and signed by lawyer - which cost at least €50. I travel with my child every 2 months and this request is ridiculous. letter of convent could be easily done by father of the child and emailed - instead, they were denied boarding and lost tons of $$$. If airlines decided to set this rule, they should have been informing customers at the time of booking when they know a child ticket is booked - same way they informed about covid restrictions

@Philip *********
I do travel with my husband’s letter of consent - but TC says, it needs to be stamped by the lawyer??? Canada certainly does NOT have this requirement

it’s not only Thais- Chinese, Russians, Indians, Indonesians and many other also need visas. Actually , only minority of world population can enter US without applying for visas and going through humiliating procedures. And anyone can overstay in both countries - she is from Europe I think and broke the law just as easy as Thais in the US (and they also pay for their visas in the first place)
