that was in another group, where, I believe, Tod Daniels was confirming based solely on 1 Filipino's account, which itself seemed a bit dubious. Tod gives a lot of great advice in regards to Visas, but he shouldn't state this as fact, based on one report at one land checkpoint. But then, Tod doesn't think there's anything wrong with using an Agent to assist a foreigner obtain a long stay Visa when the Agent is using their money to deposit in the bank account of the foreigner and then withdraw it again as soon as the Visa is granted.
the 500k is a similar requirement to the a retirement Visa's 800k. In the Retirement visa, there's a, 'no work' rule. With the DTV, applicants can do remote work where they can spend long periods of time in Thailand, while the income they earn comes from overseas. Evidence of that work, employment and income must be provided along with showing a bank balance of a minimum of 500k Baht in an account in Thailand or another country.
If you're referring to the 60 day Visa Exempt entry and asking if anyone has tried to get a 30 day extension on top of the 60 days, then I think you're asking too early. It's only 9 days since the 60 day Visa Exempt was introduced, so it's highly unlikely anyone would try getting an extension yet.
correct and everyone thinks that's a licence to offer financial advice, relationship advice, life advice. All to someone who's in perhaps their last 20-25% of their lifetime. Then you get the real idiots, who have nothing to offer in their comments but sarcasm, or a warped sense of humour, but nothing else... unbelievable 🤷🏼 Fortunately, I have a lot of patience which overrides my temptation to be rude, unless they really deserve it.
