that was certainly the case when I last went back 10 years ago. IO just looked at my passport, confirmed it was me, and let me through, no electronic scanning, same on exit.

Can anyone who has recently entered/exited the UK confirm that is still the procedure?

I've been following the progress through this thread and it seems the problem has been your phone number was not recorded correctly on initial setup.

I'm with BBK and after each transaction I get an sms on my phone, with the transaction details and new balance. Were you getting these on your old phone?

yes, mine is actually 12.5k, but happy with that. Less than an Aussie pint of beer a week, and no 800k tied up in a bank...and no extra paperwork involved..😊

agree with you Simon , my agent charges the same as yours, but if others are happy at paying double that, then that's their choice, but shouldn't post saying that is the going rate when it obviously isn't..
