To start with, the Agent doesn't put any money in your bank...

 what are you talking about?

If you have the funds then do it yourself at immigration for 1900 baht, + bank letter charge.

If you don't have/want 800,000 baht in the bank, use an agent, which in my case is 12,500 baht all up.

Strange as the white Thai National ID card has the bearer's name, as well as DOB, in both Thai & English
