I renewed my passport in Bangkok last year..sent it in, with forms filled out and return envelope, got it back in just over 2 weeks…I’ve heard it’s taking 3 weeks currently

Most immigration websites will tell you that a damaged passport is not admissible

I’ve heard it takes 3-4 weeks right now, but still waaay better than trying to mail to US…3-4 months

Renewed mine at the local embassy…followed the instructions and mailed it in, got it back 2 weeks later

I know…I go for a run at 5am and don’t worry about anything..I can walk on basically deserted streets and still feel safe

Yeah, I got that too…when a former coworker found out I was moving to Thailand, she said she’d never been to Thailand or read anything about it, but it sounded dangerous…..and I’m originally from the USA, daily mass shootings and she thought Thailand was dangerous…WTF

In the US there is a ‘no fly’ list…the airline doesn’t know until they attempt to check you in and the response that comes up is to call a government agency for verification

Only can re-enter home country on expired passport…not good for going anywhere else

I got mine at the Institute of Dermatology…weekends only. Check their website to see if they’re still doing it
