we all get this for non b extension after getting the WP. they give a month for consideration and you go there again after a month and they give your actual extension.

immigration asked questions to me in a similar case many years ago. i explained them that, i will extend my visa and they were fine with it.

first of all, do not forget to cancel your WP and non b visa before you leave or you risk a lot of problems and serious ones while applying for a new WP and getting a Non B Visa extension for that. After these, fly out and return with a 30 day visa exemption which you can extend it another 30 days at any immigration. that makes 60 days. you can buy a cheap ticket out of Thailand to show and dont risk that. get a 1500 baht ticket. if you still couldnt find a job after 60 days, then go to Phnom Penh for applying to a single entry tourist visa. easy there with some travel agencies and you dont even need to go to the consulate for the application, they handle. good luck.
