 you won't have to wait a day, just get there before the immigration office opens, fill out the extension forms and have your photos, and you should be in and out within 2 hours. Then go do some holiday exploring.

How can I cancel my work permit in Thailand if my previous employer has no authorized signatory due to resignations?

 and their responce when providing them that the two directors have resigned.

Has the company folded / ceased trading / become insolvent ?

Then ask again the company bo longer has any directors due resignation of all Directors.

Maybe best seek assistance from a Thai lawyer, do your diligence for one.
