Can sympathise! Excellent Pattaya Visa Agent obtained a Non-O Retirement Visa plus 12 months extension plus opened a Bangkok Bank savings account for me. It was conditional to buy 12 months Bangkok Bank Personal Accident Insurance. Only 3,000 baht and covered moto accidents providing you were under 65.

Similar to flying on a one-way ticket. The airport check-in desk sometimes asks for sight of return/onward ticket or ‘some sort of visa’ (their words to me). The next time I fly on the same route with the same airline they don’t?

They do at an all vehicle, all persons, all ID document roadblock check. Never experienced one of these yet in Thailand though.

Fine for not making a 90 day report is 2,000 baht. Same amount for one missed report or more than one. Immigration at air, land or sea borders are not concerned with 90 day reporting, only overstays.

Disagree on travel, banks and hospitals. Airline bookings are in English language and my Pink ID card doesn’t have English transliteration. Banks always demand to see passport as proof of ID as does both my community and regional hospitals.
