You will get at arrival a visa exemption stamp for 60 days.

You need nothing to do as showing your valid passeport for 6 months at least and the flight ticket from flight arriving.

1 ID-photo is enough.

The rest you have to check with your local immigration.

Good luck πŸ™

You can only change the reason of stay for your extension.

Ask your immigration officer for the documents.

Bangkok Bank you can ask via their application a 12 months statement for a saving account and send via email within minutes.

Unfortunately you can not do it for a fixed account. Therfore you need to ask it at your branch and it will be send by email the next 3 days (cost 100 bahts).

Back starting blocks.

But he has the advantage to have a Thai Bankaccount.

90 day non-O Visa in country (easy, as money on the bank (hopefully).

And than extension 1 year.

If you have monthly income..... risk to be difficult but check with immigration.

the twice roule was for land-entries.

But since July 15th there existe no more restrictions about the quantities of entries; but the immigration officer can ask you why you enter and refuse if he is thinking that your purpose is not tourist but living in Thailand.
Wolf ******
Keep in mind the 60 day-exemption is a tourist exemption.

You want to live in Thailand, maybe consider an other option; immigration officer think like this.
