Thailands number one source of income comes from tourist. They are pushing people to neighboring countries that have an easier 90 day. Lost revenue and there was a recent article saying how successful the new 60 day exempt was generating revenue. Cut the hand that feeds. Makes a lot of sense and if they were serious about the people that abuse the system they would clean up Phuket and get rid of the Russians.

it's a pain in the ass to take the pictures and have police come to house and verify the pictures and then you need neighbors to put in a good word. I have a neighbor I can't stand. She is jealous of my wife. The IO gave me crap about my photos . She compared money to another and said my didn't look sincere. Rubbish. Retirement if you have the money is a lot more hassel free. Many reason why I switch my visa. Your the one in control of you submit a retirement not your neighbors word or police visit just to prove my marriage is real.

retirement is easier on the paperwork. Marriage requires the police come to your house and do inspection and ask neighbors about you. Of you have the funds I definitely do retirement. I am married to Thai and I choose retirement. You also have more control this way. You anger your wife and she may not help. Seen it.

Just get a throw away ticket for 50 bucks to Cambodia or Vietnam. Or pay the fee to change the date. But if you are really returning at 90 days it makes since to purchase the option to change date

very detail other than the fact you described non OA which is done in his home country and health insurance but he sure can do the non O with out health insurance and he already stated he has the 0 funds ready for deposit .
