30 day extension to ... what?
Steve *********
It rather depends on any past history of repeated Visa-free entries. If you've been in and out several times a year, then you may have issues. If you're just coming once a year, no problem. Don't forget that 20,000 baht (or equivalent) in your pocket just in case asked.

Land borders are indeed limited to 2 annual crossings.

Knowing your nationality and the reason for your trip will help

I will quote from Timatic (the book used by all airlines) ... october 2019 edition.

"Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date"

"British passports must be valid for the period of intended stay"

I believe that the reentry counter is open whenever there are flights.

As for TM30, every immigration office seems to interpret the law slightly differently.

Depends if you want 2 calendar months...or 60 days. A visa exempt (30 day) entry can be extended (another 30 days) for 1900THB once in thailand.

My company will always interline IF it's in 1 pnr. We won't if it's on 2. Even on partner airlines.

then contact your airline and find out if they are willing to interline your bags. If not, then you have no choice but to "land" and recheck.

@Cindy ********
you don't need Transit visa. Americans can enter on visa exemption stamp for 30 days.

if you're on 2 separate bookings you WILL be entering the country. Not many airlines will through-check (interline) your bags to the final destination if they're separate bookings on different PNRs.
