Hello,

I'm going to arrive ( by plane) to Bangkok in 2 weeks and my flight back will be after 3 weeks. My plan is to go by plane on second day to Madalay and than after 1 week to Chiang Mai ( by plane). From Chiang Mai by land to Laos and at the end of my trip from Laos to Thailand by land again. Is it ok do it without visa? I'm form Poland so I can stay 30 days without visa but as far as I know crossing border is limited ( twice per year) but probably it concerns only land border. Am I right that I don't need a visa because I cross border by land only once?

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a Polish citizen, you can stay in Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa. Your planned travel involves crossing the border only once by land into Laos, which is permissible under the current regulations concerning visa-free entries. However, be mindful of your past border crossings, as excessive entries may lead to scrutiny. Just ensure you have sufficient funds (20,000 baht or equivalent) available upon arrival.

It rather depends on any past history of repeated Visa-free entries. If you've been in and out several times a year, then you may have issues. If you're just coming once a year, no problem. Don't forget that 20,000 baht (or equivalent) in your pocket just in case asked.

Land borders are indeed limited to 2 annual crossings.
