you need to contact some of the agencies, who will provide him with a new visa w/o leaving the country. you will need to pay about 25k all-in for 15 month. they will care about the bank book as well, that's included.

For the 7 day extension you need to apply. You won't get them automatically and it's 1900,- Baht for that extension.
