yes, I do (I'm not the same person). I travel in and out almost once a month. Always get 180 days upon each entry. No questions asked. I've used both BKK and DMK. What

(There are like 30 countries in the Americas, of which most if not all are elegible).

that's not the right list. I'm from a non-listed country in the Americas, and I've got my DTV without hassle.

Ohh, hence the confussion. Many countries (including mine) use the wording "place of issue", no "authority" at all.

Just manually copy and paste whatever letters and/or numbers are written after the two dots on the Place of Issue in your passport. Might be a city name, an authority name, a code, it doesn't matter as long as what you write and what it says matches 100%

it seems for the extension in country, some Immigration offices mandate Thai bank accounts. Which makes no sense, and is neither necessary, as a flight in and out would grant 180 fresh days, anyways.

One thing has nothing to do with the other. If possible, I recommend you use an insurance from your own country, so it'd be easier to claim later (due to language and bank accounts).

Renting on Airbnb, month to month. This way I only pay for the months I'm in Thailand.
