β€œQuick question for the groupExperts

: With all the recent DTV updates and reports about entry issues into Thailand, I’m a DTV visa holder travelling in February for 10 days. Is it possible to skip the DTV process and just enter on a normal tourist visa to avoid any complications?”

TLDR : Answer Summary
A DTV visa holder asked about the possibility of entering Thailand on a tourist visa instead of following the DTV process, citing concerns about recent entry issues. The general consensus among commenters was that it is unnecessary to switch to a tourist visa, as there have been no significant changes affecting DTV holders, and they can enter Thailand without complications using their DTV visa.

It is not the visa type. Entering on any visa or visa exempt can be checked. There is no "Visa" type targeting. They are just having a bit of a clampdown and more scrutiny. You will be fine with the DTV

There aren't any DTV rules updates 🀷🏻 In contrast, the stricter entry rules are for visa exempt entries.
