There’s no “activation period” your visa is valid for 5 years from the date of issue and you can enter in 4 years and 11 months and you’ll still get a 180 day DTV stamp.

Anonieme deelnemer 101 It is not sure now that you will get 180 days when you enter on the last day of the 5 years. It is far away, and even with current rules not sure you get a date after visa or passport expiry date.

the answer is you need to use it within 5 years. It is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. So if you wait 4 years before you enter Thailand for the first time, then you only have 1 year left of validity.Brandon ************
