Flying out 8:am departure Friday. Is 5am at airport safe.

Always make a copy of your current passport,leave original plus extra copy at hotel reception desk safe.I would recommend that you visit nearest Immigration office and explain your situation.

Happened to me,went to visit a friend in Korat for 2 nights(from PATTAYA) I was 2-3 days away from extending my visa in PATTAYA my friend said he was going next am to Korat Immigration to do his 90 day stamp and we could do my extension there.During processing was asked my residence (gave my PATTAY Hotel) was promptly ushered to a supervisor and my friend &his Thai wife were give a 45 min dressing down as to why they had not registered me at Immigration on staying with them?The Thai wife explained that she had NEVER heard or read of this requirement.She was charged the Baht 800 (I paid),after the gestapo interrogation a young female offer took us back to extension desk and proceeded to issue my extension (she took me aside and said you have done nothing wrong and that MOST Thai people are totally unaware of the rule and that the supervisor was rude and should have just explained to the Thai wife the requirements and left it at that.My Baht 800 probably went into his pocket.

The ever changing of paperwork -individual immigration officers concept/translation-attitude.it’s mind boggling.Also try an agency,Baht 28.000-Baht 35.000. For a Baht 1900 visa.It’s total robbery.

A question,If I obtain my retirement visa in PATTAYA (Chon Buri)and then relocat to Chang Mia,can I renew in Chang Mia or? Any other Province???Thank you for your valued responses.

Ken we are NOT alone on this issue.This is a sore point with ALL tourist forced into this unwarented immigration rule.What,s the point,we could spend that money in the local economy.

Had the same experience when arrived Oct 29 and was directed to the new? senior line,through in 3 mins.my only beef with Immigration is,I come each year with my Thai wife for 5:5 mths with visa,yet i still have to do the visa run(Cambodia now baht 3000 every 60 days.I have already paid baht 7500 in Canada for my visa,why on earth do we have to do these visa runs.the visa should cover my whole 5:5 mth stay period.It needs to change.
