If the condo in Hua Hin does not do a TM30 then how would immigration ever know you stayed at another address? Ask them if they do one. If they say yes do one when you get back. If they say no then be happy and forget about it.
Are you sure? Eleven years ago my first extension on my Non-B was for marriage. K-Bank near me would not write me the letter. They told me I had to go to the branch that opened my account, which at that time was pretty far away and was kind of a hassle. Maybe things have changed in eleven years but Thai banks seem to have archaic policies in regards to things like this.
Tony Bourgoin If someone else does it then a power of attorney with a tax stamp is required. If your wife owns your property she can file it. I have a lease so I am self filing. I am sending in a copy of my lease, which I signed every page, a copy of my passport ID page, stamp transfer page, current entry stamp and copy of TM6, of course every page signed and the completed TM30 from Bangkok immigration's website. Plus you need to include a self addresses stamped envelope with 10 baht postage applied to it.
Tony Bourgoin Being married to a Thai gets you almost no benefits here. The only one is less money in a bank account for an extension of stay. Or the newish "expedited" process if you want to apply for Thai citizenship.
The hotel reports your stay (most likely via the web portal). Yes, some offices are anal about it and require it when they know you stayed in another location. Bangkok is just starting to lightly enforce it and we only need to do it when we leave the country and return. Having to do when every time you stay at a hotel somewhere would be a real pain. Bad enough I need to go the immigration or the post office every time I come back now within 24 hours (not counting weekends and holidays).
