A one-way flight isn't much cheaper than a two-way because it makes scheduling more difficult for an airline.

Good morning group. I just wanted to take time to thank you all for your time and energy for helping me out. I've gotten many helpful ideas from you all and I even appreciate the sarcastic replies as they gave me a good chuckle.😂 The worst part about this situation isn't so much the money but the painful blow to the ego. Yes. Actual property, not just condos and it is VERY recent. Some Thais are not happy about this of course. 😄

No problem Charles. I've been teaching in Thailand for the past 12 years on a work visa. I just now got a retirement visa because I am 50. Just keep asking around and you'll get all the info you need. Incidentally, I just heard that Thailand is now allowing foreigners to own property for the first time. Good luck to you brother. 😀
