Is my Thai girlfriend using me for money?

That's entirely untrue. I met my now Thai wife on TF, almost 4 years married, we live in Australia, she has a PR visa, works 5 days a week and contributes quite well to our living expenses. I will admit quite a few are as you say...but how many "genuine" farang men are on TF?

Arrive on a 30 day visa for free, then get a 30 day extension @ an immigration office..cost 1900 baht...

, on the Au website, they ask for flight booking, OR proposed flight date, understanding that you will book flights once you have your visa.

Over the past 10 years I have done 30 or so flights to Thailand, never had to prove flight booking..just estimate of travel date.

My wife and I went to the Bangkok Bank. Showed my passport, her blue book, took just 20 minutes...walked out with a book and the ATM card..

I was just on a 30 day tourist visa..

If you followed the link from Thai visa to Agoda, the price is huge! Look closely at the Agoda price, in small print, they do say "book on our app". So I did, and the price is around 60% less...
