Is it true that we no longer need to mail passports for retirement visas in Thailand?

I’m submitting my info for my retirement visa OA. I was on the web site checking info needed and I notice it said we do not mail our passport and other info in anymore. Is this true or just wishful thinking.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for applying for a retirement visa (OA) in Thailand has indeed transitioned largely to an electronic format, with many users confirming that visas are now issued via email rather than requiring the mailing of passports and documents. However, there are still some cases where physical documents may need to be sent, depending on the applicant's home country and specific circumstances.

Yes it is all electronic now.

Other off topic question why OA, NON-O is simpler, less requirements?

read the rules about O-A. All explained there. Every time, during the validity of the O-A visa , you will be stamped in for a full year at every entry. ( Watch your insurance validity!)

Leaving and returning shortly before your visa finish will give you the 2nd year of stay .Voilà. ( 2nd year needs a re-entry permit if you want to travel abroad)
