Even the officer checking the document at the reception desk didn't say anything about a police clearance when he gave me the check list. Only when I got the token snd went to my IO she went and talked to some other lady behind her and came back and asked me to get one. I went to get the police clearance but was told that I needed a letter from the immigration office. So I went back again and this time she typed the letter for me and told me to ask them how many days for delivery as my visa runs out on the 18th of this month. She didn't bother to give me the letter the first time though.

The list does not show police clearance required. But my IO insists I need it. I think she us just giving me the the run around. What can I do, please advise. Should I complain to her superior officer, or that would incur her wrath on my application?
