I agree with your logic, but you need to take into consideration the absence of logic pertaining to certain entities here.

It's a phrase meaning it's not over until it's over!

You said it will be back, but in reality it hasn't gone away. It has been contained in Thailand, but it's still prevalent in most countries around the world.

Hence, the fat lady will not be singing anything for some time to come.

It's not over until the fat lady sings, and I doubt she will be singing anything for some time to come!

I'm not really sure where the "potential implications of no quarantine" are in this announcement!?

AXA Global Health Access (excluding the USA) cost me just over $1,600, and more than covers the required amount. Subject to age, etc.

Yes, it is a mandatory requirement for any farangs entering the Kingdom, and it must cover at least $100,000 (Covid19 included in the policy).

"As for them only trying to make money out of a bad situation", who do you think should pay for your hospital bill if you get Covid19, or if indeed you have a bad accident of some sort, and require hospital admission, and/or surgery?

Maybe you think the Thai government owe you something, and should foot your bill!?

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would have some kind of health insurance policy when travelling to a foreign country on vacation. Even more so if one intends to live there.

4. Depends on which hotel you choose and/or what is available at the time.

Prices can be well over 100,000 THB.

It's a fair assumption that the cheapest options will go first. Probably taken by work permit holders, and some of the farangs who are married to Thai partners.

The emergency decree has been extended until the end of July.

As for incoming flights; there has been no official announcement as of yet.

The cabinet will meet tomorrow, and thereafter release an official announcement with who can, and what requirements they need to enter the country!
