There was a recent case on here where a Thai with dual passports showed both on arrival and the IO stamped the foreign passport for 30 days. She was going to have to leave and return to not be on overstay. Don't give them the chance to stuff it up.

Depends where you are. In Hua Hin they don't care. I just renewed my retirement extension and asked about updating my TM30 and she said if I'm still staying at the same place, no need to report. I'd only been back a few weeks.

90 days after you get back. Re-entering always resets the counter to 1.

The 4 diseases that need to be checked against are extremely rare or non existent in advanced western countries. My GP in Australia just signed it with no bloodwork. But I've been seeing him for many years. YMMV

Sorry that's not 10 minutes if you have to go back!

I just got my income letter at the new Australian Embassy in Bangkok on Monday. No problems, no questions asked, although I had super statements. If you have documents from your super account take them just in case. The Thai desk clerk wouldn't have a clue about Australian Superannuation law (same as most Australian's). This is the easiest way to get an Extension.

Sorry, but how will you support yourself when you are in Thailand. That's what an IO will want to know. Having an apartment lease means you are living there and not a tourist. Having, say a 12 month lease says you aren't applying for a 2 month tourist visa but intend to stay 12 months. This may worry them.
