TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about obtaining proof of residency in Thailand while living with friends and whether they could extend their visa until March. Comments suggested that proof can be obtained by having a friend fill out a TM30 form, with the requirement of their ID and housebook. Additional insights mentioned discrepancies in immigration procedures from different locations, and emphasized that the responsibility for registration generally lies with the property owner. It was also noted that the visa must be extended before the user's current visa expires in March.

I recently tried to extended my tourist visa in Jomtien while staying at an AirBNB. I discovered it is better to take care of that in BKK. Apparently, there are different TM30 rules applied at different immigration offices. BKK does not bother with it if you are a short term guest. (Tourist Visa)
Michael ********
For air BNB you need Owner ID and blue book. I saw some people who were staying in an AIR BNB who did TM30 at pattaya immigration. They just emailed the Owner.
Nicholas *******
A receipt from a st hotel will do in all cases ffs
Michael ********
If that is where you are staying. Yes is supposed to do that anyway.
Mark ******
Amd what if your friend is renting the house/condo, can the friend fill in the tm30?
Stephen *******
The house master can be the person with the lease.
Chris *******
no you cannot, your tm30 must be signed and filled by house master/owner.
Keng ******
you can use your rental contract with it
Barry ******
Only the owner or someone the owner nominates.
Michael ********
Copy Blue book and ID of owner.
Michael ********
It is not needed in Pattaya....but I don't know about Rayong.
Reiner *********
Not enough , he need to sign it and give a power of athorney to u
Naeem *****

Steve *******

Thx all.
Ron *******
First report I can remember of Rayong implementing the TM30.
Robert ********
Pretty soon it will become an epidemic?
Duncan *******
It's a virus that keeps on spreading :)
Nicholas *******
Your friends fill in a TM30 along with ID etc. If the they own the property then the house book etc. Very straight forward
Nicholas *******
I am out. No more responses pls
Nicholas *******
They know where you have been before through definition
Chris *******
Even after full set of docs they will ask where have you been before. Going to Bangkok for extension doesn't sound bad after all. Next time have in mind how is it.
Nicholas *******
Note it is the landlords liability if they do not register ones stay with the local authorities
Nicholas *******
In short and without taking my time up what I said
Nicholas *******
And...
Chris *******
Usually blue book copy + copy id of the owner + signed proxy, signed tm30 by the owner and signed the list of guest all that you go and register, proxy must be issued for each of all mentioned in the second part (list of guests).
Chris *******
the responsibility is of the house master (owner) to register you but YOU need something from the immigration you pay the fine.
Mark ********
If the tenants are registered, they can do the report
Mark ********
Didn't say they couldn't but landlord doesn't have responsibility for guests of tenants....the tenants do as occupiers
Chris *******
@Mark *******
landlord can sigh a proxy along these documents and all is done
Mark ********
Not if that person isn't a tenant
Chris *******
yes.
Nicholas *******
It is the landlords obligation to provide you with the said details btw
Barry ******
TM30 receipt by the house owner if you can get it. Usually harder if you're with friends
Ray ***********
To my knowledge can't live with friends.
Si ********
so, who are we allowed to live with?
Thomas ********************
No to the last question. You were stamped in for 60 days. Need to extend before that.

Together with friends and TM30 form register at Rayong Immigration.
