you applied from Thailand? That’s crazy to me I always thought you had to be out the country

I’m already at Bangkok now but want to get the DTV visa without going back to europe (those flights are expensive)

But cannot apply online from any location other than the UK OR Hong Kong it seems

no they are not, I already spoke to them and they said if I move out of the U.K. they will close my account.

I’ll have a 6 month tourist visa + 1 year rental contract + 2 British IDs

What are those other two requirements about?

Of course it makes sense to buy refundable tickets just for that purpose

“Travel booking confirmation must be provided upon submission of your visa application. This includes flight details showing applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand and onward flight to another destination.”

They’ve thought it all through, flight confirmation confirming route from UK so you can’t fiddle it
