I’m British and came on tourist visa

Then when that was up I went to Ho Chi Minh City and applied online for the DTV.

Got accepted within 4 days I only had to provide bank statement and CV.

Have 500,000 baht and go for a DTV 5 year visa.

It allows you to remote work for an abroad company/role.

This will allow you to delay your work start and you can apply for abroad jobs as and when you want.

I paid 1700 baht for a 1 year DTAC sim. Works out less than 150 per month with 100GB & 100 mins per month

If you’re staying in Bangkok DTAC is miles faster.

not at all, I did 6 months on a METV and got questioned severely because I was going to Vietnam and back for visa runs.

Trying to do 10 months without a visa I cannot imagine the IO being happy.
