"experts" here, and those who think of themselves as "experts", can often offer inaccurate advice or advice that is contradictory to other "experts" posting. Which to believe? On google you can find reputable sources that will lay it out for you.
there is such a group, and it is called Google. try inserting a statement such as foreigners owning land in Thailand, and I think it will answer you. (before all the complaints from those who live to answer such questions, remember, "teaching them to fish, rather than....)
a bit of hyperbole-- neither of us, of course, speak for "most Thais", and much of what th9se dissatisfied are upset about is usually not the covid aspect. this govt not all that different that most of the past decades.
you are correct, and for top flight international schools in bkk, for example, they may well require more-- not just a degree in any old thing, but a degree specific to the subject taught and previous teaching experience. I have several friends working at ISB and a other at Pattana. some, again, think to the many years ago, when just speaking English was enough-well that day has passed. Yes, maybe, and often illegally without work permit, and for very low salary, one might find an English teacher job in a distant rural school.
