Hello everyone!

While its kinda difficult to find a clear information I decided to try here. We are planning to move to Thailand for minimum 1 year. Im EU citizen my husband is Thai - we got married in my country. We have 2 small kids - and already got advised to make thai birth certificates and thai passports for them (so they can enter Thailand as thais) but we are not clear how to do about me.

Maybe I can find here some farang woman having thai husband - that would be perfect to ask some questions about visas and stuff. Wish to know if we can book one way tickets for all our family and just apply for some family spouse visa for me after we arrive - or betternto do.it before booking tickets? what are the requirements (financial especially..) How about some insurance for me? Will my husband be able to provide from his insurance (after he gets job in Thailand)..

would love to hear any advice from you'all 😊

So after asking all different banks and agents, only two banks are currently ok for DTV holders:

1.Bangkok Bank ( have to buy insurance, probably around 5k-10K)

2. Krungsri bank

Try both of these banks without agents countrywide. Outside of Bangkok tend to be easier. Yes you need to have residency certificate from immigration. Driving license also helpful.

Otherwise, pay agents. Worth it if it's 5-6K. Don't pay more than that. Good luck!

Hi guys, any of you know if I can fly to Thailand on a one way ticket with a 60d tourist visa or is it required to have return ticket these days? another question would be regarding insurance covering COVID up to $100.000 - found these two insurances: Tune Protect and AXA (around 3000-4000 THB for 1 month cover). Do I need to be covered for the entire stay in order to be allowed in the country? Thanks 😊
