TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around finding job agencies in Bangkok suited for foreigners. Participants provide insights on the job market, noting the challenges due to high unemployment rates and competition with locals. One suggestion mentions Excel Bangkok Co., Ltd. as currently seeking foreign employees, while others highlight the necessity of having strong qualifications such as excellent English skills and relevant degrees, especially for teaching positions.

Right now Thai unemployment at an all time high.

Not a good idea to compete with a Thai for a job. Best have a company that wants employees. Thais will thank you.

It's not that easy. To work legally as a teacher you need a bachelor's degree.

I understand that you need a degree to obtain a work permit to work legally as a teacher in Thailand.

you are correct, and for top flight international schools in bkk, for example, they may well require more-- not just a degree in any old thing, but a degree specific to the subject taught and previous teaching experience. I have several friends working at ISB and a other at Pattana. some, again, think to the many years ago, when just speaking English was enough-well that day has passed. Yes, maybe, and often illegally without work permit, and for very low salary, one might find an English teacher job in a distant rural school.

unfortunately, many wanting to work here haven't done much research as to what, in reality, the very limited options are.
