And... if you leave and re-enter Thailand, it makes much more sense to get the visa exemption when entering, and extending it for 60 days after that (60 days total, same as METV). You have maximum 2 VE stamps by land per calendar year, theoretically unlimited by air.

Yes, the METV costs more. Around 2.5x the price as the SETV, from what I remember. I haven't seen anyone with an METV in a long time. Your embassy might not even be issuing them (or they might be difficult to get).

Either way, you need to be able to leave Thailand and re-enter every 60 days, which is barely possible at the moment.

STV (special tourist visa) doesn't seem to be available as an eVisa.

If you post the full visa and block the important info with small pieces of paper, we could help you more.

However, 90 days is the likely "maximum stay in Thailand" (as described in the embassy website above).

Maybe it's a STV (special tourist visa), but without a picture of the actual visa (minus your name, address, etc. obviously), we can't help you much more. We need something to work with. 😄

"TR Visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. Travellers must enter Thailand within the said 3-month period. They will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of up to 60 days, counting from the date of entry. Extension is possible for another 30 days, with maximum period of stay of 90 days, counting from the date of entry."

@Benjamin *****
I think I got it. Maximum duration of stay is 90 days.

It means you have to use the visa within 90 days.
