Will my SETV e-visa be accepted at a land immigration office in Thailand if I exit and re-enter on the same day?

I was issued a SETV e-visa a day late, after my flight into Thailand. I'll be leaving and re-entering Thailand by land to activate it. Evisas are common at airports, but do you think the land IO will be knowledgable of these? Will it probably be accepted without issues?

And since I just need to leave the country and not go to an embassy, is it possible to exit and re-enter the country on the same day? Will this be seen badly by the IO?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a SETV e-visa issued after their flight and plans to activate it by exiting and re-entering Thailand by land. They inquire about the acceptance of their e-visa at land immigration offices and whether leaving and returning on the same day would be problematic. A comment reassures them that exiting and re-entering is common, provided they print the PDF of their e-visa and ensure a proper stamping process at a land border.

You are far from the first person who got their eVisa approved after they already flew here and entered visa exempt.

You can activate that eVisa by entering the country by air or land.

You just PRINT out the PDF <- that IS your visa 'sticker',

go to a land border,

stamp out of thailand,

stamp in and out of another country,

then present your PDF when you go to stamp in,

be patient, make SURE you get the TR-60 code and 60 days on your entry stamp. You'll be fine doing it all at once.

Oh, and you have to stamp in&out of another country, you can't just turn around on the bridge and come back without stamping ๐Ÿ˜‰

I did this a few times and returned within 30min. No problem. I once asked the Thai IO if I really had to waste money and time on going to Laos. Unfortunately I had to really cross the border into Laos.

Thanks.

About the last part, yeah, can't avoid the full passport page $50 USD on-arrival visa sticker (for 1 day). ๐Ÿ˜† Was mostly hoping to be able to avoid staying at a hotel. To walk around the city a bit, and then go back to Thailand on the same day. Do land IOs frown a bit on same-day exits and re-entering?

they don't care, it's just they don't see a LOT of eVisas (because no border country thai consulate issues them), SO make sure you have that PDF printed and that they know it's a tourist visa so you get stamped in correctly
