I leave in 3 days and I'm having a hard time finding an RT-PCR before departure in Kentucky. Anyone else had this problem?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on obtaining an RT-PCR test before their departure to Thailand from Kentucky, with only three days left. Responses suggest various options including CVS, Walgreens, and specific testing facilities in Louisville that offer quicker results for a fee. Alternative suggestions include checking local health resources and airport testing services.

Why Kentucky? Nobody lives in Kentucky

Walgreens/cvs

CVS and it's free, at least it was for us in October.
Free if you don't have health insurance.

What city are you in? I used this place in Louisville. $200 but results back in 2 hours. Better to be safe than sorry w the free ones that take up to 3 days.
Call the County Health Department they can tell you where to have it done in your area.

You'd probably have better luck in a US group?
Someone in your state might have a better idea than people in Thailand. š

Airports usually have testing. It's ~200

Cvs, when you make appointment online, check yes to being in contact with someone who had covid, government pays for it then.
If the result doesn't come back in time, CVG has onsite 60 minute testing RT-PCR testing, $200.
Pretty much all airports do, it's a big moneymaker right now, but make sure now, that's your last resort.

If all of the appointments look like they're booked at 12:01 a.m. go online and the appointments are scheduled for the next day they booked them 3 days in advance
if itās the ātravelā or RT-PCR test youāre good to go..stay away from the 15 min antigen test to do air travel itās not accepted by the airlines
maybe it was Walgreens, but I set up appointment online and after answering the questions I was given a price of $130 and asked how I would pay, so I made another appointment checking that box yes and they didn't ask for payment.
yep, $200 at JFK airport, I didn't give a shit, it said RT PCR test and I found out about cvs and Walgreens to late I thought. The RT thing throws you off, nobody at CVS would say yes it's an RT-PCR test, they just said it's the test we give to travel.
Like Jeremy said, it's a PCR test and in the end that's what they need.
