the only time I have witnessed it was when I went to my ex sisters wedding in Kam Phang Phet, they were both Thai and the husband gave 50,000thb. It went on for like 3 days drinking lao Khao at like 6am and slaughtering pigs to eat it was mental 😂

ah i didnt even notice that bit and I never even crossed my mind I know the Thais can be strange but even they know you can't possibly have a Thai acc if you haven't ever been Thailand before so not sure why anyone would assume that, obv it would be a print out your own bank acc in your country.

And yeah, reasonable enough I suppose I assume you don't need the 80k if you're just visa free 30+30, think it's still 20k if you're even asked

i don't know just pointing out that he is an actual person I used him for about 7 years now, but anyway I'm married now with a Non O for marriage so if it's true or not really doesn't make any odds to me. If it's true it's a bit shitty but that's the Thais for you, but in a way if you're applying for 60 day visa with 30 day that can be added on then you should have 80,000thb really otherwise can you really afford to come 🤷

Yeah, I think you can as I have had one recently before I applied for my Non O for marriage. I also had my funds dip below by about 20thb once and they still made me start the 2 months again, but rules are rules I suppose

You don't see prams much if at all, we have a little buggy for our baby boy but it's only to walk him around the back of our house a few times and we don't live in a city.

You should be able to, that is what I did recently, came in on 30 day visa free, ext another 30 days, then 60 day thai family and then finally Non O. In fact this was actually the way my immigration office told me to do it, seems quite common I have been seeing people on here commenting often about doing it this way.

yeah, it's also usually only the airlines that check it and hardly ever at thai immigration, lol.

I could be wrong but I think that the onward travel requirement is when you are arriving visa free, I remember when I first came out here at manchester airport they said if I don't have a visa and going visa free then I will need to book an onward ticket out of thailand.
