yes I show the Canadian Embassy my income slips (T4 slips) I will take copies of them, also a copy of my bank records for both 2019 and 2018, I also have a letter from my employer showing my pension income and from the government showing my pension income from them. I will stand my ground if there is a problem and ask to see the boss. I met him once a couple of months ago and he spoke very good English and seemed a reasonable chap. As long as the rules haven't changed I should be okay. I hope. In the 12 previous years I have extended it had been a quick and easy process, but you read so much negative stuff lately I wonder how this time will work.
Just out of interest when I have stayed in a hotel, I have always presumed they filled out a TM30 form, or at least if they copied my passport I did. However I never got a receipt, why?
Years ago I got a Non O 90 day Visa from Savannakhet, I asked for one based on marriage, but they didn't write that on the Visa. When I got an extension at the Mukdahan Immigration Office they based it on retirement, even though I asked for it to be based in marriage, I have since had 12 extensions based on retirement.
Go to Savannakhet, apply for a non Immigrant O single entry, that will give you 90 days. After 60 days go to your immigration office and apply for a year extension.
You better check out to make sure you are covered, even in Csnada. If you our out of the country six or seven months of the year, most provinces don't cover you.
I had five work perments from three labour offices while I was on an extension of a non O, on each extension it was clearly stamped RETIREMENT, but there was never a stamp employment prohibited.
Best thing is to get a Non O based on marriage, from your own country I think you can get a one year multiple entry, but you will have to do an in and out every 90 days.
