In Pattaya you have to get the letter from the bank same day you go to Immigration, it's been that way for 2 years.

I have an extension of stay based on Retirement. Jomtien Immigration told me I do not have to do TM30 and I have never had a problem.

Do my husband and I both need 800,000 baht in the bank to stay in Thailand on a Non-Immigrant Type O-A visa?

My wife and I have been here 14 years on Extensiins based on Retirement. I have the 800,000 in my Bank and my wife is piggy backed on to mine. She does not need to have any money deposited.

100% you need a degree now. My daughter did a TEFL Course and worked for 6 years at an International School. Last year there was a big clampdown and she had to return to UK where she is now studying for a degree. Don't be fooled into the trap of getting a fake degree online as you will get caught and face stiff penalties.
