Today I made my retirement extension.
Yesterday i got my Bank statement. 24 hrs before application as the rules say.
BUT today Immigration said...You must get a Bankstatement same day as application!
So I had to go to the Bank.
Application succesfull, so I am happy. But confused over the rules.
Is it 24 hrs or same day ???
What happends if you and your Bank and Immigration is far away ???
TLDR : Answer Summary
The rules regarding obtaining a bank statement for a retirement visa extension in Thailand can vary significantly by location. While some immigration offices may require the bank statement to be dated the same day as the application, others might accept statements that are up to 24 hours old. Moreover, practical challenges arise for those living far from their bank or immigration office, as the distance can complicate the same-day requirement. Many expats in cities like Pattaya and Samut Prakan report that local immigration officers enforce the same-day rule strictly, while in Bangkok, it is more flexible, allowing bank letters to be up to 7 days old. Ultimately, communication with your local immigration office is key to understanding the specific requirements that apply to your situation.
