Hi, looking to help some friends who are in Thailand for 48 days on a 30 day tourist visa. If they do a border run at Kanchanaburi/Myanmar how many days will they get coming back into Thailand. All comments very much appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about how many days their friends can stay in Thailand after doing a border run to Myanmar. The friends have a 30-day visa exemption and will not receive additional days upon re-entering Thailand. Instead, they can extend their stay by applying at an immigration office for a 30-day extension for a fee.
said they can go to the immigration office and get a 30 day extension on their 30 day visa exempt entry for 1900baht.
After that, if they need more time they can go bounce out and back by land for a new 30 day visa exempt entry.

Thanks for the comments so far, my friends are on British (Jersey) passports, they were given 30 days when they arrived in Bangkok. If they do the border run will they get another 30 days?
Yes so if they are from a nation entitled visa exemption they can stay in Thailand up to 60 days without leaving the country.

Tourist visas are for 60 days, not 30. How many days in Thailand they get with crossing the border and coming back depends on their nationality. If they are entitled to visa exemption they get 30 days which can be extended once to 30 more days at an immigration office.
