the check-in staff member didn't even look at it at the desk. She was totally deaf to any of my suggestions and questions, just ranting on about how airlines get fined £10,000 if they let traveller board and they get turned away at port of entry. I tried telling her my documents wouldn't be rejected but to no avail.
the onus is on your hotel to do it by law. If private accommodation your landlord is obligated to do it. Any hotel I've stayed in its never come up because Ive assumed they do it, if not it's them who are at fault and not your problem
It's not something that requires approval it's just notification to let immigration know where you are staying. If you move on the next place submits a TM 30. and so on.
Just a quick update. Finally got Aer Lingus to take on my complaint. Their latest reply states 'this case had been escalated' and is being reviewed. Sounding a bit hopeful, though I have found airlines notoriously difficult to convince they're in the wrong. We shall see!
Am a happy woman, my laundry lady cleaned condo for me, thankfully cos I didn't fancy returning to rooms full of creepy-crawlies, went and renewed motorcycle tax and now going to relax and sort out my firestick. Yes I know, I live on the edge!😜
I've written to them, no reply. It's actually Swiss port who are a like a airport management company who deal with check-ins etc so not even the airline we were flying with.
