An agent must bribe the officer into accepting that the money isn’t there. It must be there 5 months in full and 400k the rest of the year.

As you live here you are well aware that only Thais can live with so little money (although the median income is about 80k), because they “borrow” left and right, have nothing to pay for health care, and can find work on a daily basis. Now show me how an alien can do that.

Are you living from 10-15k a month like my brother in law with wife and 2 kids? Sure not!

I don’t see any problem with that.

Boss of immigration branch proposed that to me some years ago for using his money.

Luckily I declined. He was replaced the year when they had those large signs saying we should report when an officer asks for money.

And I’ve heard that many had to leave because they lost their visa.

Additionally: if you’re asking this, you probably shouldn’t be coming.

If you don’t have 800k to spare and try to bribe your way in, then you also don’t have the 65k monthly income. How do you plan to live with so little money? No health insurance, no safety?! So you will end up on the streets dying in some dark corner.

Stay at home where you have the chance to survive.

Your embassy should have a list of accepted translation offices on their website, plus a list of what to do in your language and in Thai.

Took us 3 days in Bangkok without any crazy extra costs of angencies - including prenup at Siam-legal (you sure want one and it must be before marriage!!).

Get the list, get the docs mentioned in the list.

Prepare the prenup via mail.

Took us about 2 weeks (switzerland is fast, germany would be about 3 months).

Choose the translation service you like. They will also do the run to the ministry for small money.

Be very early in Bangrak, they allow limited number of people!
