my first Covid extension started from the end of my tourist visa, and my second Covid extension started from the end of my first Covid extension. At each application my passport would be stamped “under consideration “ and to return by a certain date and the second extension I was asked to return days after my first extension expired, so in reality I was asked to overstay my extension. So it doesn’t always start from the day you apply for the extension.

It depends on who you are dealing with and how they interpret the rules. I did both my visa and Covid extensions at the Nonthaburi office.

I was there July 1, only take away from a couple of shops, most everything is closed.

I believe you can get a waiver, but not having TEFL or similar doesn’t go in your favour and will depend on who you’re dealing with, Thailand is very erratic when it comes to rules and regulations.

$8000 that would be business class, I’m using the return economy I bought last year, with no extra charge. I can return earlier but the price is

Why is it so much more to travel from KL?

I left in January with a 60 day return flexible ticket and a 60 day TR visa and was questioned if I was going to apply for a 30 day extension. When I extended my visa and tried to rebook a return a month in advance I was advised there were no tickets until July. It’s safer to get a 3 month return ticket if available, the flight caps are creating chaos for anyone wanting to return to Australia. Greg Hunt and Scott Morrison have no idea what they are doing to people.

I believe you have to apply for extensions at the closest immigration office to your residence.

I never said anyone could get a Covid extension, where did you get that from?

Covid extensions are granted when all the visa extensions have been used, STV are 90 day visas with two 90 day extensions, if these are exhausted and you are unable to leave the Kingdom a 60 day Covid extension may be granted for 1900 Baht. In the case of STV this wouldn’t happen until around July.
