@Robert ******
good point, I didn’t even consider that as my situation is different from OP and that wouldn’t have been ideal for us.

All these are food for thought for OP to make the best decision for her and her family.

I specifically traveled before giving birth to avoid this situation. But things are taking waaaay longer than expected (getting passport).

I would say try to get the extension, if they would rather you do a border bounce and come back the same day. Could you leave your baby for a few hours with a nanny or something you know/trust?

Hi, join the FB group Thailand Babies if you have questions about hospitals/doctors/pre-post natal care, citizenship etc from moms who went through, going through the same childbirth.

As for a visa, you can apply for your baby’s visa once you have their passport like you would for a dependent.

TM30 should be discussed before renting and have this in the rental agreement that they will do it free of charge.

The owner’s ID comes with the lease agreement in the annexes along with a copy of your passport.

Hi, a question being asked often: did you need to show 500k thb for the dependent?

@Wilson *****
I had applied in Taipei back in Nov. 2024 when they were starting to be more strict asking about monthly income amounts. I had around 600k thb in my account and I had transferred over 2 mil thb into my husband’s bank account seasoned for 6 months. We didn’t want to take the chance as the DTV visa was still relatively new.

If you don’t have 500k thb per family member, search this group history as there are embassies/consulates that only require it for the main DTV holder.

No difference in terms of process as you apply as a single holder, once approved your dependents apply.

Personal bank accounts only (can be in more than one bank account) where the money is just sitting there as that’s considered liquid.
