but they say you must apply from your home country - right? that's where the vpn comes in. I have never been asked to provide "proof of current location" and the plane ticket really can't be an issue since you write your home address

sorry to butt in but if the home country thai embassy uses evisa and a vpn is connected to your home country why is that not a valid combination?
