Just visited phuket immigration for the latest list of documents for the Non O retirement visa. There seems to be a couple of changes from last year. Photo copy of every Thai stamp in passport, all photo copies of documents in portrait NOT landscape. Must update your Tm30 (address) at room 101 or drive through first on day of application. Bank statement from visa issue date.

On Koh Samui we had those rules already since a year. All photo copies have to be done in a way that the reader does not have to turn the file to read them.
You say "*Be aware that IF you have stayed in a hotel or in a hospital overnight or returned to Thailand since you last filed a TM30 (manually or online) then that filing will not be valid anymore. You will need to do a new one to update the system back to your actual address.", so if I leave my address in Hua Hin and go to hotel in Bangkok for a week then return to my residential address (a stand alone house - not condo) am I expected to go to immigration and say - okay I am home now?
FYI they want a Google map print of your house with latitude and longitude. How do you get that?
Use Google maps at your house. Don’t press on the “blue dot” of your location but long tap and hold on a “blank” area just next to it. This will create a “dropped pin” that will give you the exact latitude and longitude needed.
Just wanted to say thank you very much for the info. Going to Bangkok this month for 3 month stay in Thailand with my wife (very sweet Thai Lady) and I will be opening a bank account there with Bangkok Bank to start getting my $800,000 Baht in there, so information like this is priceless to me as it comes first hand and recent. For the TM30 part you can also use the online system to file your TM30. It doesn’t need to be in room 101 or the drive through. It just needs to be current.

The TM30 could be 2 years old and it wouldn’t be an issue - except if you have stayed in a hotel, hospital or left the country since then. It’s the last filing on the system that counts. If that’s your current address then that’s fine.
Yes they tell you that but that’s the “manual” way of filing a TM30. You also have the option of filing the “online” version. It’s the same thing. For the latter ensure you have a print out of the actual filing.
