Anonieme deelnemer This might depend on the type of contract and the country.

I read about a rejected application in Netherlands because of a statutory probationary period, which means employer and employee both can cancel the contract without any reason, and some embassies see this as a risk.

Maybe you should check before at embassy.

@James *******
Correct, and with a job for an UK company and applying in UK embassy I think just do it without agent is the better option.

I really don't see any advantage in this situation from a Thai Visa Agent.

Anonieme deelnemer When you choose "Manage Visa Application" at the left site of the page, just below the home symbol, and then you choose tab "Download" it does not show any visa anymore?

Anonieme deelnemer Is the approved visa still downloadable on the website?

If so, I think you should not worry about the status, as long as you have a visa.

Just to get a clear picture:

Did you get new passport in Thailand?

Did Immigration Office transfer the entry stamp of your old passport to the new passport with number of old passport while you were still in Thailand?

Did you exit the country and reenter the country with the new passport, showed only new passport and visa and got new stamp, just as normal without any number written to it?

Anonieme deelnemer 101 It certainly is not normal practice in all countries and all other visa that the visa can be transferred to a new passport.

What you call the advice from some people is just the official advice from Thai immigration, and MOST other countries, only some countries transfer a visa from one passport to the other.

P.S. Just use this link for general information:

I agree that it is a miss that the visa can not be transferred to the new passport number, but in many countries it works that way and you have to carry old and new passport. Some countries have the possibility to put in a remark in the new passport that it replaces old passport with number xxxxx, but no idea if this is enough for Thai immigration always or also is a hit and miss.

Blaming an IO for having a bad day or looking for a fight when he or she is only following the rules is a bit unfair in my opinion.

Did you get a new 180 days stamp in your new passport? Did you show visa?

Poor customers! I don't know how customers can choose an ldiot who calls others just stupid. Why should a foreigner not be responsible for TM30 when he owns the property. You just don't know what you're talking about again, so better stop talikin BS here.

How do you make residence certificates, that is an immigration job.

And why that silly sentence more than 159? Does that mean you cannot count any futher than 159? 5555

@Siggi ******
You don't have the faintest idea about what you are talking, better keep your big mouth shut here.
