What should I do if my visa status hasn't changed since my interview at the consulate?

Oct 29, 2025
Visa was approved and status changed back to request interview.

I went to the interview on the 20th of October and 9 days later, the status has not changed.

I sent 2 emails to Frankfurt with no reply. What should I do ?

Please help, I'm so worried. I'm not from a visa exempted country, my husband is German. He got his DTV in May.

Our flight is next week Monday 03.11.

The emails I sent all got unanswered.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing anxiety over their visa application situation. After an interview at the Frankfurt consulate on October 20th, their visa status reverted to 'request interview' nine days later with no response to their emails. They express worry about traveling to Thailand with their husband, a German citizen, as their flight is scheduled for November 3rd. Suggestions from the community include visiting the embassy in person, using read receipts on emails for tracking, and reaching out through social media channels for better communication.

yes I will stay in a hotel in Frankfurt for 2 days before our flight

When you send Emails always send as a read receipt that way you have a Email trail.

that only works when the receiver of the email does support this, and it brings you nothing at all in this case.

if the embassy is close to you I suggest to go there! I did on Friday they checked it on the system they said I need to wait I explained my situation and left. less than 30 minutes i received our DTV visa approved email.

Anonymous participant 121 the Asian embassies are like that, the European ones are just straight up terrible

Can you go visit the embassy in person? Or call them if there is a phone number? Or Facebook messenger?

Did you receive the visa approval email with the visa pdf? I wouldn’t travel without this if you can’t get a visa exempt, as they likely won’t issue visas on the border

Anonymous participant 981 If you have the visa, I think you’ll be fine. I wouldn’t admit to knowing anything else, some people would not go check the status in the e-visa portal after getting their visa

Anonymous participant 981 hello yes I got the email with the evisa attached, we want to risk it and just fly as a family. I'm a bit scared but I think it will be fine and they will let us through.

Try contacting them via Facebook Messenger they can be more responsive to that

It has happened before to one of the group members, consulate said it was a glitch. Not much you can do right now other than wait for hopefully getting approval soon, might need to delay your flight. They usually don't answer emails or phone calls

Dear Frankfurt consulate, it's been 1 week since my interview on the 20th of October.

I know it is a privileged to visit your beautiful kingdom. We fell in love with Thailand during the pandemic and have been there every winter since 2020.

My husband and I bought the flight tickets for the 3th of November after I was issued the visa on the 14th of October.

The status of my visa changed to request interview on the 16th and it hasn't changed since even after I went to my interview at your consulate last Monday.

I'm so worried to be sent back while my husband can enter without any issues as he's a German citizen and I'm not, it would be heartbreaking for us especially since we will travel the first time together with our dog.

We love Thailand and would love to spend the winter time there again.

Should I print out the visa I was issued on the 14th and use it for my flight ?

So the visa was approved first, and then the approval was "undone"? 😱

Anonieme deelnemer Is the approved visa still downloadable on the website?

If so, I think you should not worry about the status, as long as you have a visa.

I got it as an email and it's downloadable from the email...the status from the evisa website changed so I can't download it from the evisa website anymore

Anonieme deelnemer When you choose "Manage Visa Application" at the left site of the page, just below the home symbol, and then you choose tab "Download" it does not show any visa anymore?
